Presbyopia Correction Surgery

As we age, the natural crystalline lens of the eye may lose some of its elasticity and thereby its ability to focus on close objects. This condition, known as Presbyopia, usually begins around the age of 40 and can often be comfortably corrected through the use of reading glasses.

Fortunately, the correction of Presbyopia is now possible. This procedure improves patients’ near vision by shaping their central comeal area convex using laser. This is a preferential correction surgery if the condition is not accompanied by cataract. Laser Presbyopia correction surgery corrects hyperopia and myopia, apart from Presbyopia, so it is more effective than other types of Presbyopia surgery.

CNEAR Presbyopia Surgery? Allegretto Q-Wave

The cornea is not perfectly spherical but flattens out from the center to the periphery. The extent of this flattening is called the Q value. The corneal Q value is adjusted with the F-CAT mode that ablates the shape of the cornea aspherically. With this, the central area of the cornea becomes more convex to promote the effect of wearing reading glasses. The cornea is not just shaped like reading glasses, however, but the curvatures of its central and peripheral areas are formed differently to deepen its depth of focus. This surgery is called CNEAR Presbyopia surgery. It improves the depth of focus and enhances the ability to see well both near and far.

Presby Max ? Amaris 750s

It shapes the central corneal area convex to provide the effect of reading glasses, and deepens the depth of focus by creating different curvatures on the central and peripheral areas of the cornea.

This surgery is suitable for patients…

  • Who want to correct hyperopia, myopia, and Presbyopia at once
  • 1 Who have had a laser correction surgery
  • Who do not want to have lens implantation surgery

Astigmatism Correction Cataract Surgery

About 35% of cataract patients have accompanying 1 Diopter or above astigmatism. Corneal incision or additional LASIK surgery is not necessary.

The symptom can be corrected with astigmatism IOL surgery that can simultaneously treat cataracts and correct astigmatism
